Together with local manufacturers and artists, we make interior design objects close to where their materials come from. Local production strengthens culture, reduces ethical compromises, and creates objects with a clear identity.
Everything we make is designed to return gracefully to the earth at the end of its life. We avoid unnecessary synthetics whereever possible in order to preserve compositional beauty and be respectful of the natural materials we hold in such high regard.
Lärjeå is named after the river that runs north of Gothenburg. That river is this company’s reminder that product design is always secondary to the beauty already built into the world, and that the best examples of good design exist naturally all around us. We try to make objects that reflect that humility while contributing to a more courageous design culture in west Sweden.
